in Questions & Answers, Unique Birthday Gifts For Him

Question: What birthday gift to give my finance to show I love him and am thinking of him?

I know girls like flowers, chocolates, .. me purses and diamonds…. but what do you get a man?

We have a 2 month son so I don’t know. Any birthday gift ideas for him?

What about a Nintendo DS? My husband and I both have one and play games together all the time.

it depends on how little or big you are talking. for simple day to day things you can try some of these ideas:
when you are grocery shopping, pick up some of his favorite snacks
if you’re in the store, buy him a shirt just because
if you know he wants/needs something (new watch, game for his PS3, etc), just pick it up when you’re on the way home
buy a card and write something nice on it
write him a poem…it’s free and meaningful
sneakers
things he may need for work (business cards, certain type of shoe or clothes, etc)

for bigger things-
i’ve gotten my baby a PS3, planned a weekend at a B&B about 90 miles away, and i’m currently planning a 5 day vacay

i hope some of these ideas are good for you

Guys can be so hard to shop for, right?

Consider his interests and personality. Does he have a favorite sport or book or tv show or video game? Google his interests and look online for gift ideas.

I did all of my “guy” shopping for Christmas on thinkgeek.com this year and absolutely everything was a total hit! That is now my supreme standby site for guy gifts.

And in my 15 years of experience, price isn’t nearly as important as the thought that goes into it. For one of my gamer husband’s birthday presents, I bought a poster image from a favorite video game and framed it and put it up in our living room. Later he said that it wasn’t just the poster that he liked, but the fact that I was the kind of wife that was willing to accept his interests as a part of our life together and let him have his stamp on our home.
